The EtherEdge 4000 series is
a modular system that enables cost-effective delivery of Ethernet services over
copper, fiber and wireless backhaul facilities. The series has several possible
deployment scenarios. It can be located in the basement of multi-tenant
buildings, serving as an edge device that supports 24 subscriber side
terminations with a mix of interface types: 10/100, 100FX, GigE, DS3/E3, CHDS3
(DS1s'/E1s') and OC3STM1 which can be mapped to DS3, OC3/STM1, OC12/STM4 and
GigE trunk side ports for cost-effective Ethernet aggregation. The EtherEdge
4000 can also be located at the Service Provider's POP or CO in order to
aggregate traffic from up to 24 remote EtherEdge 4000, EtherReach 2000 or
EtherReach 1000 devices. |
