ANDA Networks Showcases New EtherProbe Products at First Global Interconnect Demo in the London Ethernet Expo
First inline, real-time carrier Ethernet monitoring tool providing non-intrusive traffic monitoring for global anywhere-to-anywhere Ethernet service level guarantees
Sunnyvale, CA – May 12, 2009 – ANDA Networks, the leader in carrier-class fiber and copper-based access network platforms, today announced that its new integrated EtherProbe performance monitoring and network termination equipment (NTE) systems will be demonstrated in conjunction with the first real-time carrier Ethernet Global Interconnect.  The demonstration is being staged at the Light Reading Ethernet Expo Europe in London on May 13 and 14.  It highlight’s how multiple vendors’ MEF certified products and Ethernet service offerings can be used for global connectivity.

Designed and organized by Iometrix, the authorized test lab of the Metro Ethernet Forum, the Global Interconnect event is the first to offer service providers worldwide the chance to demonstrate live, interconnected carrier Ethernet services to large enterprise customers.  A global demonstration will send traffic from London to Frankfurt, onto India and then return to London via a trans-European Ethernet circuit.  Service providers, equipment vendors, and enterprise application developers including, ANDA Networks, Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, Creanord, Matisse Networks, Omnitron Systems Technology, Inc., and Spirent Communications are collaborating to offer a complete look into the delivery of high-quality, anywhere-to-anywhere Ethernet services.

Global Interconnect visitors will see how ANDA’s new EtherProbe products provide a secure, efficient, non-intrusive solution for carriers seeking to monitor their customer Ethernet SLA performance in real-time within the existing demarcation device.  The EtherProbe demonstrations will highlight live reports of actual results over the Global Interconnect Ethernet service footprint while also allowing for interconnection to other participant’s Ethernet equipment.

ANDA’s EtherProbe products provide a feature-rich OA&M platform, for managing and optimizing flexible Ethernet bandwidth offerings over existing fiber and bonded copper PDH/SDH circuits to ensure carriers can effectively deliver these new value added monitoring capabilities regardless of available infrastructure.  Operators are able to lower operating expenses (OPEX) in addition to CAPEX while increasing the management functionality for generating new revenue bearing services across carrier-class Ethernet service offerings.

“We prefer demonstrative, hands-on participation events like the Global Interconnect to truly showcase our capabilities in a network environment with major service providers delivering globally interconnected and interoperable services,” says Greg Gum, Chief Marketing Officer, ANDA Networks.  “Seeing our new EtherProbe deliver non-intrusive, real-time performance monitoring on live global Ethernet connections is a key step towards ensuring carriers can rapidly deliver new Carrier Ethernet 2.0 based managed services while minimizing both CAPEX and OPEX expenditures across their entire worldwide Ethernet footprint.

ANDA will be demonstrating EtherProbe at the Global Interconnect event in the Light Reading Ethernet Expo Europe, 2009.  The event will be held at ExCel Conference Centre in London on Wednesday and Thursday, May 13 – 14, 2009.
